  • Exercise-induced Asthma – In many cases, a patient’s physical activity or workout can trigger an acute attack of asthma. There is shortness of breath, tightness of chest, and cough within a few minutes of workouts.

  • Asthma in children is called childhood asthma or asthmatic bronchitis. Its triggering factors, duration, and intensity are different in different kids.

    • Constant coughing, either spasmodic or barking cough or violent cough. Quality of cough either productive or dry
    • Coughing, especially at night
    • Rapid or labored breathing
    • Difficulty eating or sucking
    • Wheezing sound when exhaling
    • Chest tightness
    • Frequent colds that settle into chest
    • Feeling tired after physical activities
