Overview
ADHD or ‘attention deficit hyperactivity disorder’ is a medical condition in children. A child with ADHD has differences in brain development and brain activity affecting attention, the ability to sit still, and self-control. ADHD can affect a child’s life at school, at home, and among friends. It affects children and teens and can continue into adulthood. ADHD is the most commonly diagnosed mental disorder of children.
It is more prevalent in boys than in girls. It is generally diagnosed in the early years of school when a kid starts having trouble paying attention.
