BRONCHITIS

Bronchitis is an inflammation of tubes that carry air to your lungs. People with bronchitis often cough up thickened mucus. There are two types of bronchitis:

Acute Bronchitis: This is a common type of bronchitis. Its symptoms usually remain for few days to weeks.

Chronic Bronchitis: Chronic bronchitis lasts with recurring bouts of cough for at least three months to two years.

• Acute bronchitis is usually caused due to viral infection by the same viruses that give you cold & flu. Sometimes, it may be caused by a bacterial infection.
• Chronic bronchitis is caused by smoking & allergen such as air pollution, dust, toxic gases.
• Weaker immune system.
